So I have been reading the Script file "RiseOfTheTombRaider.sh" available in the main game directory and found the following lines # Ensure we pass the steam check, before we inherit the enviroment below I feel that it is has to do with some kind of software configuration.Īt present, I'm trying to Launch ROTT using "Steam Linux Runtime" with gamemoderun %command% at the launch option.Īlso note that ROTT folder is not getting created at the below location (but "Shadow of the Tomb Raider" and "Tomb Raider" folders are available) I too expected that the game should run out of the box since its a native game (Though shadow of the Tomb raider and Tomb raider - with "steam Linux Runtime" worked). Yes, I have validated the local files via steam, but with no success. I also tried using using Proton (5.0.6), but I get this error message "tiger archive header mismatch in ". I was hoping that similar to Tomb Raider, If I enable "Steam Linux Runtime" it would work for ROTT. Tomb Raider : Did not work out of the box, but after forcing it to use "Steam Linux Runtime", the game worked flawlessly. Shadow of the Tomb Raider : Works out of the box after installation in my configuration (smooth game play). I own copies of Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider in Steam. Rise of the Tomb raider (ROTT) does not launch.
